I spent my time in the School of Journalism and Graphic Communications trying to become a great journalist in print and broadcast. My original goal was to be a part of the ESPN team in Bristol, Conn., and become an anchor, however, I feel in love with print journalism.

In Advanced TV News, I learned that I love using the camera, editing packages and writing scripts, but being on camera is not for me. Editing became a hobby of mine when I became an editor and writer for The Famuan. I enjoyed my time at the Famuan as the sports editor and deputy sports editor where I thrived on finding new ways to improve.

I did not limit myself to just print. I still did some work with FAMU TV 20. I worked with graphics for the Homecoming Special and Wholistic Growth for Generations. My wide range of skills are still improving. Recently, I produced a few radio shows. I had a chance to anchor and produce a radio  My experience with the Famuan continues as I improve my editing skills and I continue to write articles.

Throughout my college career, my work ethic has been my bread and butter. I am not only a student, but also have held multiple jobs while attending school. At one point, I worked three jobs.  I am team leader in my current job at Chickfila with METZ Culinary Company. My work experience outside of journalism has helped me improve my work ethic. I use that experience to improve as a journalist.
